What is Microneedling?
Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure using small needles to create invisible puncture wounds on both the top layer of skin (epidermis) and the second layer of the skin (dermis) The treatment allows the skin to stimulate the production of new skin cells, therefore helping to resurface the outer layer of the skin, reducing problems such as pigmentation and scaring. The depth of the needles penetrating into the dermis region also allows the skin to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, therefore helping with the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles.
The procedure is used to the following skin concerns:
- Acne Scaring
- Scarring
- Fine Lines and Wrinkles
- Deep Pores
- Stretch Marks
- Pigmentation
- Sun Spots
