High Intensity Focused Ultrasound

What is HIFU?
A high intensity focused ultrasound facial (HIFU), a non-invasive treatment for facial aging and face and body skin tightening. This treatment provides some of the benefits of a facelift without the need for surgery or the downtime.
A HIFU facial uses ultrasound to create heat at a deep level in the skin. This heat damages targeted skin cells, causing the body to stimulate a healing response. To do this, the body produces collagen to aid in cell regrowth. Collagen is a substance in the skin that gives it structure and elasticity in turn reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

HIFU is dramatically effective in the following areas of concern:

• tightening the skin on the neck
• reducing the appearance of jowls
• lifting drooping eyelids or eyebrows
• smoothing wrinkles on the face
• smoothing and tightening lose skin on other areas if the body such as tummy, arms, thighs etc.

What happens during the treatment?
Your practitioner will talk to you about ensure you are suitable for treatment during a consultation process. They will also discuss what it is you are hoping to achieve from the treatment, and a plan of treatment will be designed and decided upon. 
Photos will be taken (with permission) for both yourself and the practitioner to observe results. 
The skin will be prepped to ensure it is clean and sterile for treatment. A cooling ultrasound gel with then be applied to the area in which is being targeted before the treatment takes place.
