What is a Chemical Peel?
A chemical peel is a resurfacing procedure whereby a chemical based solution is applied to the skin. This encourages the top skin cells to shed and new skin cells to produce.
This in turn helps to tackle many surface complaints such as:
Pigmentation
Sun Spots
Dull Tired Skin
Enlarged Pores
Scaring
Acne Scaring
The penetration of the peel into the dermis region of the skin stimulates the production of collagen and elastin leading to reduced fine lines and wrinkles.
In addition to the above, chemical peels can also be used to treat:
Inflammatory Acne
Non-Inflammatory Acne
Acne Scaring
What happens during the treatment?
Your practitioner will talk to you about ensure you are suitable for treatment during a consultation process. They will also discuss what it is you are hoping to achieve from the treatment, and a plan of treatment will be designed and decided upon.
Photos will be taken (with permission) for both yourself and the practitioner to monitor progress.
The treatment consists of a full cleansing facial using the Clinicare range of premium products before the peel is applied. Following the peel you will receive a hydrating mask followed by the application of Cliniccare hyaluronic acid serum.
For best results a package of treatments is advised
